Counseling is a unique opportunity to build an “internal kaleidoscope” that helps us see and understand life in multiple ways. Once we learn to accept reality and our limitations, we are left with new perspectives and with creative solutions to our problems. I offer bilingual (English/Spanish) counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. The spectrum of my specialties includes: ADD/ADHD, conflict resolution, grief- loss, anger management, codependency, communication, self esteem, life transitions, aging issues, domestic violence, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders. The techniques I use include a combination of theoretical perspectives such as psychoanalytic, existentialist, and expressive art therapy. |

I have been a psychotherapist since 1985. I have worked in private practice and in many institutions in Mexico and the U. S., including the Department of Outpatient Psychiatry of the Rady Children’s Hospital, for the last seven years. Working in different countries has made me capable of applying my life perspectives and experiences to the unique challenges that each of my patients brings to me.
