Though every child has a natural propensity for healthy growth, sometimes children and families are diverted. In therapy I create an environment and provide experiences that help children return to healthy development. I use a variety of techniques suited to children's communication and learning styles like play therapy, expressive arts, family counseling, and group therapy. Parents are integral to treatment, as I give them tools to support their child's development and improve family relationships. I also offer parent education and support groups, counsel adults who experienced childhood trauma, and train child therapists.
