I have over 30 years of training and experience as a counselor and psychotherapist working with people who have a wide range of concerns including coping with losses and significant challenges, depression and anxiety, addictions of many kinds, adapting to serious medical problems, and resolving marital and family conflicts. Some other areas of expertise include helping people to clarify and pursue life goals, create more pleasurable intimate connections in committed relationships, and learn how to create real meaning and purpose in their lives. My caring and practical style is comprehensive, engaged and resourceful with both individuals and families. I enjoy working with people from adolescence to late adulthood to solve problems and grow in personal effectiveness and joy. I have been located in my comfortable La Mesa office for 18 years. It is convenient to freeways and the trolley station. I
