Although initially scary, committing to a course of therapy is a positive step in the process of self-discovery and personal growth. As a licensed psychologist of 30 years I have studied many types of therapy and have worked with a variety of populations. Together we can explore what prevents you from moving forward through life's challenges and help you break the patterns that keep you stuck in your life.

Judy Phillips, Ph.D., San Diego Psychologist

I have training in intensive family therapy, cognitive therapy, codependency, EMDR, and most recently the brain and mind/body connection. Additionally, I have post-doctoral training in the use of neurofeedback (see www.eegspectrum.com). Neurofeedback is a fun form of therapy that involves computer games and brainwave training. In conjunction with traditional therapy, it can effectively treat a variety of mental and physical conditions and often reduce or negate the need for medication. Neurofeedback is effective in the treatment of ADD, ADHD, migraine headaches, stress, seizures, mood disorders, sleep problems, panic attacks, pain, and many other problems.

Our relationship and the skills that I bring to our work together are the keys to a successful outcome in your treatment. As you learn new behaviors you will be empowered to function healthfully on your own. You will feel better, work better, play better and love better.
