GINA M.
TAFFI, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist (PSY 17070) 243 N. Highway 101, Suite 16 Solana Beach, CA 92075 (858) 404-0234 • E-mail me here www.sandiegopsychoanalyst.com With 18 years of clinical experience, I focus not just on past experiences, but also on the here-and-now of an individual's experiences and relationships. Attachment, separations, and losses beginning in infancy influence one's personality, as do current contexts of living, loving, and working. I'm interested in mutually exploring your past and present experiences and relationships with your participation in an ongoing dialogue to develop understandings about your life otherwise unavailable in ordinary conversation. In our complex world, psychotherapy is a treatment for emotional discomfort or pain, an avenue for self-discovery and personal growth, and a means toward establishing and enhancing relationships with others and the world at large. Healing can take hold when two or more people collaboratively make meaningful sense of life. I allocate a percentage of my practice for reduced fee psychoanalysis. I am a member in good standing with the San Diego Psychological Association, Binge Eating Disorder Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy, and the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. Additional Areas of Specialization Include: • Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy • Couple's Therapy • Personality Disorders |
